NEW CLASS OFFERING
Get Green is a 3 part series on ways you can reduce landfill waste by composting and recycling in Central Ohio.
Each class will focus on a topic and give ideas on how to get started. You do not have to attend every class but it does help to understand the Green Process.
Rebecca Shorter has extensive knowledge of “being green” and will share the many resources she has collected over the years. She loves to talk about trash. Questions can be emailed to sunnybrookstudio@gmail.com.
Week 1 Composting 101 - How to start, what is compostable, and where to take it.
Week 2 Recycling with Rumpke and Hefty - How to start, what is accepted, and where to take it. Hazardous waste removal and metal scraping will also be part of the discussion.
Week 3 Freecycle Event - Families can bring reusable items to donate that will be given to local nonprofits in need (One Dublin, People In Need, Open Door, etc.). There will also be a fix it cafe to learn how to repair something so you can reuse.
This is for families and all children must have an adult present for each class. Only register 1 person per family. The cost is $15 per family! There is a limit of 8 families!
IF we have a great response and we have a waitlist, Ms. Rebecca can offer this class again in July and/or August, so get on the waitlist!
