This class is designed for adults with previous ceramics experience who want to work independently with supervision. The instructor will demonstrate a project or technique at the beginning of each class, but participants are free to work on projects of their own choosing. The instructor will be available to consult on technical or aesthetic questions as needed.
Participants should bring their own aprons to protect their clothing and a thin piece of plastic such as a disposable tablecloth or drop cloth to cover their projects.
Clay can be purchased from the Schiller front desk on the first day of class. Prices vary based on type of clay. Sold in 12.5 lb. increments only. Basic hand tools are provided.
Only clay provided by or sold as the Schiller desk is permitted.Come and learn the basics of clay hand-building in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Participants will learn at their own pace and complete several projects.
