Description

Participants will learn about various techniques of wheel throwing and try many things. Pieces will be fired and glazed. Participants are encouraged to provide their own apron, and towel for clean up. Participants will purchase their own clay. Glazes are provided.

Clay can be purchased from the FRC front desk on the first day of class. Prices vary based on type of clay. Sold in 12.5 increments only. Due to popularity of the classes, kiln space and storage are limited, production work is not permitted. Basic hand tools are provided. Glazed and unfinished projects must be picked up by the last day of the class.
Only clay provided by or sold at the FRC desk is permitted.

The Participant hereby agrees that the use of Recreation & Parks Department facilities and equipment shall be at the exclusive risk of the Participant and his/her guests or agents. The Participant further agrees to indemnify and save harmless the City of Columbus from any and all claims, suits, loss, damage, or injury to persons or property of any kind or nature whatsoever to the Participant and his/her guests or agents as a result of, or activities engaged in the facilities, or use of equipment. The Participant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Columbus if the Participant violates the rules and regulations or the law.
