Sewing

Dodge MultiGenerational Center • 667 S. Sullivant Ave ColumbusOH  43205 Organized by Columbus Recreation and Parks Department

About this event

Description

Learn sewing and repair basics while making a keepsake and sewing kit. From threading a needle and hand-sewing a seam to adding embellishments and buttons, we will make a throw pillow or small bag to learn and perfect the basic skills needed for hand sewing and repair. If possible, bring an older or outgrown personal item (like a T-shirt or blanket) to transform into something that is meaningful for you. Sewing materials and supplies will be provided.

in class.
A sewing machine is not required, but students are encouraged to bring their own if they have one, beginning with the second class on 1/23/25. A few machines are available at the center for shared use during class.
