This beginner-friendly Balance Class is specially designed for senior adults and other adults interested in improving their balance and reducing the risk of falls. Maintaining a good balance is essential for preserving independence and enhancing the overall quality of life as we age. Each session includes fun, supportive activities that help improve muscle strength, flexibility, mobility, coordination, stability.
Whether you're looking to regain confidence in your movements or stay active and safe, this class provides a welcoming environment to work toward your goals. By the end of the program, you’ll feel steadier on your feet and better prepared to handle daily tasks with ease.
Brief Instructor Bio: Mr. Cruz is a retired physical therapist with almost 40 years of experience, mostly in geriatrics. He is also a proud veteran, having served in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman for almost 7 years and 2 years in the US Army Reserves. He and his family are new to Cookeville. Mr. Cruz taught the same balance class for seniors at his church in Pensacola, FL for almost 5 years.
