On the verge of the French & Indian War, 1754 – 1763. Britain wanted their 13 North American colonies to plan for a common defense; and strengthen British alliance with the wavering Native American Iroquoian Confederacy. This program details their effort and outcomes at Albany, NY. It also covers Franklin’s proposed plan for intra-colonial union; the proposed relationship with England; and why it failed.
