This class is designed to help runners who are able to run a 5k (3.1 miles) build capacity up to being able to complete a 10k (6.2 miles), though it is also appropriate for those who can run larger distances who are interested in a low-pressure, social running environment and those looking for structure in improving their 10k time. This class will familiarize participants with a variety of trails throughout the Corvallis area. This course is meant to be a supplement to training during the week. We will discuss sample training plans during the first class. It is recommended that participants plan on running at least twice during the week to create sustainable training habits and reduce the risk of injury as distance increases
