We’ve all seen those classic comedic dramas with the dastardly mustachioed villain tying a woman to the train tracks...Or the sheriff putting his gun-slinging to the test at high noon! What happens when the characters in a comedy believe they’re in a drama? From damsels in distress to calculating criminals to haphazard heroines, melodramas offer a spectrum of wacky personalities, whose greatest fear is ACME dynamite and the occasional falling piano! In this camp, the instructor will select a hilarious Melodramatic play for students to star in! We will ultimately perform a full length play for family and friends on the final day…complete with lights, sound effects, props, and a few costume pieces!
