Ceramics / Pottery : Beginning Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing noninstructed
Beginning Handbuilding: This instructed class is designed to teachstudents new to working with clay the basics of handbuilding. Each weekbuilds on the previous in this step by step class. Pinch, coil & slab will allbe covered, as well as glazing and decorating techniques. By the 5thweek, students are welcome to use all the skills learned to createwhatever they are inspired to build. Teacher will give guidance to helpthem achieve creating one of a kind masterpieces.
Wheel Throwing non-instructed: Spots available in the classroom for thecontinuing student and advanced wheel throwers only. A student needsto be able to work independently on the wheel and must have experienceto enroll in this class. Instructor will be there to help with any questions,but will not be able to teach beginning wheel throwing.
A 30.00 materials fee is due the first day of class and will cover your firstbag of clay, glazes, and other materials required.
*This class will have 10 sessions and includes a final meet up potluck onSaturday December 20th to pick up final pieces and meet students fromother classes.
