MeasureQ: Music & Movement, Functional Fitness w/Jeannette Peralta
Fun and fitness for seniors! Low impact cardio w/incorporating fitness routines including Zumba , a modified dance fitness program designed for older adults, providing a workout that promotes cardiovascular health, flexibility and overall well-being.
This low impact exercise is gentle on the joints, can improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen the heart, stretching promotes flexibility and enhances joint mobility, allowing for greater ease of movement and improved balance. Health benefits may include the following: increasing bone density, lessening arthritis pain, improving balance, agility and flexibility, increasing metabolism, lifting depression, decreasing risk of diabetes and improving HDL/LDL.
Included in this session is functional strength training (weights, resistance bands, bodyweight). There will be a variety of music genres such as world music, Latin, R & B, disco, soft rock, theme music, and inspirational. Join the fun while becoming more fit.
Instructor:
Jeannette M. Peralta is a trained fitness instructor and is a Zumba & Circular Mobility Certified, Certified Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Transformation Coach.
