Build real maker skills in this woodshop class! In this class, you will learn how to use both hand and power tools, work with different types of wood, and how to apply woodworking skills to creating your own original art projects. You'll learn about marquetry--the ancient art of creating beautiful patterns and designs in wood. Use your creativity to create decorative patterns and stunning pieces of art. Repeat sign ups are welcome! Each session will feature different projects and designs to bring home. We encourage all genders to try out this fun art form. Instructor Maryam is a talented local artist and educator who has brought her woodworking art skills to our Afterschool Enrichment program as well as Summer programs.
