Learn all the techniques and cooking methods needed to help prepare delicious meals for your family. Each week we will explore a new topic, starting with safe knife skills. Then we will move onto how to make broths and sauces, exploring our spice cabinet and what sauteing, roasting and braising mean and how they are different. Each week we will make at least one dish together as we learn about that week's topic featuring seasonal produce. Recipes will be vegetarian, though meat might be an option occasionally. This class is designed for students who have taken cooking classes before and have a real interest in cooking. Best suited for grades 2nd and up If your child has a food allergy, please ensure our Cooking Instructor and Program Coordinator has an updated information about all restrictions and possible medications.
