Description

Tour to Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. A tour bus will transport the participants to the campus.

Bus Pickup and dropoff location. Boll Family YMCA 1401 Broadway St, Detroit, MI 48226

Departure Time- 6:00am

Return Time- 4:00pm

Trips include introductions to key college and university personnel, introduction to the registration process, information regarding financial assistance through scholarships, grants and loans.

Learning about the college's areas of emphasis, student population and demographics, graduation rate, extracurricular opportunities, housing and employment. Teens will participate in a walking tour of the campus and a question and answer session with university personnel.

Appropriate dress for the tour is Business Casual. Y Achiever golf or collared shirt, khaki/dress pants or skirts no higher than 3 inches above the knee. As this is an opportunity to learn how to present oneself responsibly; sloppy jeans or pants, halter or skimpy tops, bare midriffs, tight pants/skirts, attire with inappropriate language or messages are examples of unacceptable apparel as they do not reflect the standard of excellence and pride the YMCA wishes to instill in program participants.
