This class will be a deep dive into 6 different surface decoration techniques. We will be focusing the decorative aspect rather than the creation of the forms so students should be able to produce their own forms of choice to practice on. This could be as simple as a flat tile/slab. The specific techniques covered will be: -colored clay applique -piercing the form -stamping and rouletting -painting with slip, slip trailing, and colorful layered slip -feathering and marbling with slips -slip inlay **THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON NOVEMBER 25TH** This is a 6-class session, with a break for the holidays. Students enrolled in this class are welcome to use the studio during the break! Enrollment in this class allows students unlimited access to the open studio for the duration of the class, and provides the students with one bag of clay, and one class per week. Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, we request two weeks' notice to allow us time to fill the spot from our waitlist. All cancellations result in a 6% processing fee for a refund. If you can transfer your registration to a future class or save the credit on your account, no processing fee applies.
