8 sessions x 75 minutes Tuesday - Dec 2, 9, 16 | Jan 6, 13, 20, 27 | Feb 3 A confident speaker is seen as credible, knowledgeable, and persuasive. This course helps students overcome public speaking anxiety, express their ideas clearly, and write effectively through a simple 6-step program. Students will: • Develop Strong Communication Skills – Speak with confidence, structure ideas logically, and present effectively to an audience. • Master Writing Across Formats – Learn persuasive, narrative, descriptive, and other writing styles to express ideas clearly and creatively. • Build Critical Thinking & Reasoning – Support opinions with evidence, make strong arguments, and analyze thought-provoking topics. • Enhance Confidence & Self-Esteem – Gain comfort in sharing ideas publicly and trusting their voice. • Learn Organization & Clarity – Formulate thoughts with concise structure, improving both speaking and writing skills. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to speak and write with confidence, think critically, and succeed academically and socially.
