About this event
Mid Range Carbine will let you works your fundamentals of shooting skills with a semi-automatic rifle from 100 yards to 300 yards. The day will start out with a review of the fundamentals of shooting a semi-automatic carbine style long gun for practical accuracy. We will then conducted zero confirmation. This is not a precision rifle class, but a class designed to allow a rifle user to drop into a hasty prone position, hasty kneeling position or stay standing and engage targets out to 300 yards. You will shoot unsupported and supported from these positions. The goal is to understand the capabilities of you, your rifle and ammunition and accept your equipments accuracy limits. Students should have a solid understanding of the operating procedures for their carbine. Srtudents must have some form of previous formalized carbine/rifle self defense training such as the Patriot Perofmance Shooting Practical Rifle Skills course or our Fighting Carbibne 1 course or the equivalent. You you do not have the skills and knowldeg needed you will be removed from the course without a refund. We will shoot on paper targets to determine group sizes as well as steel targets for faster acquisition with instant feedback. Required Gear: -Semi-automatic Rifle with red dot optic. Magnified Optic is not required but may be helpful. -4 - magazines or more - magazines should hold at least 10 rds -Tactical 2 point sling -400 rounds ball ammunition - your rifle should be zeroed to the ammo you bring or something very similar. -Ear Protection - in ear electronic is preferred for proper head to stock positioning but it is not mandatory. -Eye protection. -Long pants and long sleeve shirt. We will be in the woods for some of this. You may want to pore treat your cloths with insect repellent. -Insect repellent -Optic manual, spare battery, optic adjustment tool -Weapon lube Suggested -bipod -Elbow and Knee pads -Chair -Brimmed hat -Hiking style boots -Lunch -Water -Note pad & pencil or pen.
