During WWII, Baltimore's steel, shipbuilding, and aircraft industries employed over 100,000 people, earning major production awards and redefining workforce roles. Hundreds of supporting businesses followed, while the war effort reshaped the city’s social fabric, breaking gender and racial barriers. Every citizen was driven to contribute their part. Presented by local historian and author, Jack Burkert. FreeFor additional information or to reserve your spot, call the Elkridge 50+ Center at 410-313-5192.
