Drawing on recorded songs from two World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East, the program addresses veterans from four perspectives: How their service changed them; what they share; the special status of those who have been POWs; and what problems such as mental health, homelessness and substance abuse they have in higher numbers than the general population.
