The Soundtrack of Our Lives: The Beatles & the British Invasion, 1964-1966 The Beatles started it when they arrived in the U.S. in January 1964. Over the next three years 20 songs by 12 British artists would go to #1 on Billboard’s Pop Chart. A total of 58 made the Top 5. In addition to the music, Britain introduced grooming and clothing styles, heroes such as James Bond, and much more. You’ll want to see and hear for yourselves the cultural changes the Beatles brought with them.This program is presented by Hugo Keesing, Retired Professor from University of Maryland.
