Description
Prerequisites: 13 years old, OR completion of Bronze StarBronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgement, knowledge, skill and fitness - the four components of water rescue - form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates will acquire the assessment and problem solving skills required to make good decisions in, on, and around water. First Aid training for emergency situations is also included in this course. Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for Bronze Cross. You will be provided a copy of the Canadian Lifesaving Manual on the first day.
There may be some homework associated with this course.There will be a written (multiple choice) test for the Emergency First Aid portion, taking place during class time.There will be a practical exam for the Bronze Medallion portion, taking place on the final day.
