Intermediate Piano Lvl 2
for Adults 55+

This class is designed for anyone with at least 2 years of piano studies and/or for those students who have completed 55+ Intermediate Level 1 at the Academy.
Basic reading notation for both treble and bass clef is required as well as some scales and chords/cadences knowledge and ability to play them in a slow tempo with separate hands at least.
The class will focus on improving sight reading ability and various piano technique with specific focus on keeping your hands/wrists relaxed, as well as building on musical expression, rubato, voicing, balance and independence between the hands. Students will explore various music genres and composers to broaden their musical horizons and inspire a deeper appreciation for the art of piano playing.
This class is specifically designed to provide a relaxed and stress-free environment for intermediate piano players beyond the Level 1 or Level 2 Beginner Classes. Enjoy making music in this supportive group class setting! Learn alongside your peers and one-on-one with Teaching Artist, Dr. Ina Mirtcheva Blevins.
