Voice Class for Adults 21+

Whether you perform as a soloist or in a choral ensemble, or if you just enjoy singing, this course is a great opportunity to explore music and your voice!
This re-imagined course will be split into two segments: the first, an exploration of classical vocal music including classical lieder and art song, and the second, a deep dive into musical theater works. Singers will learn songs together in group singing, with the option of performing solos and demonstrating in class through a Master-Class style method of learning. This is designed to be a fun, innovative voice class tailored to fit a student's individual needs. This course will help students gain knowledge of their voice, while developing artistry and stage presence. Students will apply musical examples to explore vocal techniques and how they can use their voice to tell a story. The class will culminate with a final in-class performance of songs explored in the course.
New repertoire will be introduced in each session, and the following semester will be an extension of special topics that will provide a deeper dive into course materials.
