Topics Covered
This class will begin with a study of the basic anatomical shapes of the head and figure. Anatomy will be discussed as it pertains to underlying bone structure and surface muscles to aid in your drawing of the figure and head. A closer look at gestures and simple shapes will help you see and render accurate proportion. Topics include foreshortening, sighting-in, landmarks, angles, planes, and simple values. You may choose to focus on portraiture or the full figure. Classes will include lectures, demonstrations, and individual guidance from the instructor. Join us to enjoy a classic studio tradition!?
