Ever tried creating a realistic drawing based on a photograph? Not as easy as it looks, is it? Before you can draw what you're looking at, you have to know how to analyze what you see. In this class you'll learn about proportion, volume, and perspective while using photos as the basis for sketching landscapes, city scenes, and still lifes.
Topics Covered
Study in this class will included facial proportions, head structure, and underlying surface muscles. Instruction will include how to capture expression and gesture. Shading and texture will be explored to encourage a natural feeling in your drawings. You will work with both pencil and charcoal in this class! Instruction will include demonstrations, lectures, and one-on-one problem solving with the teacher.
