Our abstract painting class is all about breaking the rules, playing with color, and letting your imagination run wild—no need to stay picture-perfect! Each week we will try something new - from painting with balloons to palette knives, rakes, squeegees, acrylic pours, and more! Our sunny studio and talented instructor are sure to inspire!
Topics Covered
In this class you will explore the expressive potential of geometric and organic shapes. Color schemes and other elements and principles of design will be cornerstone topics for creating interesting compositions. You will learn how paint applications and brushwork can evoke ideas and feelings in your work. Historical and contemporary artworks will be discussed to inspire your creative choices. Instruction will include lectures, demonstrations, and individual guidance from the instructor.
