Description
Looking to learn how to throw on the wheel or you’ve taken a class before and want to continue to build your wheel throwing skills? This class will show you the ropes! Learn the basics of this classic pottery practice while designing your very own bowls, and cylinder shapes that can be turned into mugs, tumblers, or maybe even vases!
Structure of class
This is a foundation or beginning class. You will learn how to center clay on the wheel, open the form, pull the walls, manipulate the form into your desired shape, and finally trimming the piece. Each week you will work on honing those skills and becoming more comfortable using the wheel. You will see demonstrations and receive one on one instruction depending on the form you are trying to throw. Towards the end of your class session, you will learn the basics of glazing to finish your forms!
