Description

Discover the historical and contemporary practice of creating sculpture with clay! Utilizing the hand-building techniques of pinch, coil, slab construction, sculpt and scoop, or a combination of these techniques, you will learn how to build and finish unique sculptural works of art over the course of 7 weeks.

Structure of class

Manipulate clay in various different ways to create one-of-a-kind sculptures of your choosing. Will you sculpt your pet? Will you sculpt a human form? Will you sculpt an abstract form? With the introduction of specific projects, demonstrations, and your own ideas, you will expand your personal aesthetic, plan and develop your own project goals, and complete the ceramic sculptural object you choose to create.
