Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. It's more than just placing flowers in a vase; it's about creating a harmonious composition that expresses emotion and the inner qualities of the plant materials. Ikebana utilizes asymmetry, negative space (known as "ma"), and carefully selected elements to convey a sense of tranquility and balance. Class will be lead by Keiko Allen. Registration includes INSTRUCTION, FLOWERS, and FLORAL FOAM ONLY. Ikebana vases are available for AN ADDITIONAL PURCHASE OF $10. Alternatively, you may bring your own Ikebana vase (must be 10" in diameter or wider).
