ABOUT For dancers in Year 3+ and eager to begin their competitive experience, or those that attended their first feis in the season prior. First feis dates will be at the discretion & invitation of the teacher. EXPECTATIONS All dancers will be expected to start class on time with proper shoes, hair, attire. Every effort should be made to attend all classes. In the event of illness or injury please try to notify teachers of absence. Weekend practices prior to competitions are required for all competitive dancers. Once a dancer attends their first feis, it is expected they will follow the school competition circuit annually. See Handbook for more info. Respectful behavior and class participation is non-negotiable. Parents & guardians are required to intentionally and consistently role model and guide their dancers in positively contributing to our community. It is expected all registered dancers will participate in the year-end rehearsal & recital, the first or second week of June (dates to be confirmed). Information will be emailed once available. Rehearsal times fall Tuesday after school, Recital time falls Wednesday after school. Families are required to participate in fundraising and make every effort to attend all society meetings. FEES Registration fee includes the annual operational fee, registration admin fee, society membership fee, and costume fee (recital). Feis registration not included. Feis fees, at time of payment, will be reimbursed by the society for 3 school-attended competitions with the exception of each competitions’ family door fee. Additional competitions are optional and at the expense of the family attending. EQUIPMENT Practice shirts/socks can be ordered through ACTIVE separate from registration and class fees. Any plain black shorts are acceptable for practice as long as they're above the knee. Please provide your dancer with a full and sizable water bottle for every practice (water only please). Snacks are not permitted.
