Description
Introduction to Fused Glass: Kiln Forming Basics Instructor, Deborah Bartlett
Join us for this four-week hands-on class and explore the art of fused glass! You'll learn essential kiln-forming techniques, including how to cut glass, understand firing temperatures, and navigate different firing schedules. Throughout the course, we'll experiment with how glass interacts with other glass and heat, helping you develop a deeper understanding of kiln-formed designs.
Students will create test tiles to observe heat effects and complete two 4" glass tiles, which can remain flat or be slumped into gentle curves. This class also prepares you to schedule the kiln for your own future projects. Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your skills, this course provides the perfect foundation for working with fused glass!
