This class addresses the foundational themes for creating believable realism in representational figurative painting. By working in black and white we can isolate core fundamentals for what it takes to paint believable scenes and get comfortable with the medium at the same time.

Week 1: Learning to create an accurate drawingWeek 2: Establishing an underpainting and large value areasWeek 3: Refining detailsWeek 4: Adding the final details
The instructor will provide the necessary materials for this class including images of the portrait subject. A $35.00 supply fee is due to the instructor at the start of the first class.
