Adult Chaperons - Indigenous Girls+ STEM

UNB Fredericton • 3 Bailey Drive FrederictonNBCanada  E3A 5A3 Organized by Worlds UNBound - University of New Brunswick

About this event

Chaperones play a key role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching experience for students attending the STEM Workshop for Indigenous Girls+ at UNB Fredericton. Chaperones can be educators, parents, or community leaders with experience working with youth. Chaperones will supervise 3–4 Indigenous students (Grades 9–12), ensuring their well-being throughout the event. They will travel with students to and from UNB, stay in residence, and participate in meals, STEM sessions, cultural programming, and mentorship activities. Chaperones will also have the opportunity to attend professional development sessions. They will help students stay on schedule, ensure safety, and communicate with event organizers as needed. Chaperones must be actively engaged and willing to participate alongside students. If a chaperone does not have students to bring, they may be matched with students needing a chaperone.
