About this event
THE OLYMPIC GAMES LOCATION: Upper School Classroom GRADES: Middle School DESCRIPTION: During the first part of Term Project Week, students will delve into the history of the ancient and modern Olympic Games. They will discover the Olympics’ origins in Ancient Greece in 776 BCE and will have a chance to learn about and participate in some of the events that were held in the ancient games. Students will then discover the history of the modern Olympic Games, why they were brought back, and the philosophy behind the modern games. For the rest of the week, students will form into teams or “countries” and compete in their own games modeled after the Olympic Games.
