About this event
Advisor: Weizhe Zhang Email: zhangvszhang@gmail.com Computer science encompasses a wide variety of different disciplines, from web development to hardware-software integration to competitive programming. The Computer Science Club will pursue two separate realms of the subject, competitive computer science and project-based computer science. At the beginning of the year, students will be able to choose the path that they feel most passionate about and pursue that path throughout the rest of the year. Our competitive branch will seek to prepare students for computer science competitions, including ACSL and USACO. Our project-based branch, on the other hand, will focus on finding real-world problems and providing solutions using computer science. The competitive computer science path will provide a more rigorous curriculum with more detailed instruction, while the project-based path requires more autonomy and independent research by students. ***Only students from grades 9-12 will be able to join the project-based path.
