Advisor: Dr. Zeynep Araci Email: zeynep.araci@basisindependent.com The American Chemistry Society (ACS) Chem Club will provide a great environment for members to explore the many facets of chemistry beyond the typical classroom experience. We welcome an all-inclusive spectrum of students, ranging from those who are curious about chemistry and looking for opportunities to explore their passions through activities such as hands-on experiments to others who find chemistry difficult and are looking for study groups. The ACS ChemClub aims to support students planning to participate in prestigious competitions such as the US Chemistry Olympiad (for high school students) as well as the “You Be the Chemist” challenge (for middle school students). We plan to expand students’ leadership skills by offering opportunities to conduct fundraisers and host community outreach events. The club’s mission is to help enhance students’ understanding of chemistry and experience its true beauty in everyday life. We invite students who are excited to share their knowledge in chemistry as well as those looking to grow their skills in this fascinating field to join us in building a strong BIF community united by a shared passion for chemistry and science!
