Looking for a creative outlet but think you “can’t draw a straight line”? Do you wish you could paint but are held back because you never tried it? Learn to sketch! Whether you aspire to be a painter or simply enjoy expressing yourself through imagery, sketching forms the core skills from which all other artistic disciplines grow. In this class, students will journey from the initial, tentative marks of a beginner to the confident, expressive lines of a practiced sketch artist.Sketching is the art of capturing the world with nothing but a pencil, a piece of paper, and the imagination. This class is designed for students of all backgrounds—beginners eager to learn the basics, as well as those with experience looking to refine their technique. Through this course, students will explore the principles of sketching, learn to see the world through an artist’s eye, and develop confidence in expressing their unique creative vision.Sketchbooks, pencils and erasers will be provided. Feel free to bring your own.
