About this event
Three IN-PERSON sessions January 13, 20, 27 How do you see the world? Original sin or original blessing? What is your self-concept, and why? Does your religious perspective influence the way you see others? What do you know about other religions, and what are the commonalities and differences in religions? We will cover concepts from ancient Zoroastrianism to modern science and psychology. You may actually be more (or less) religious than you thought! Bill Coates is a Coker College grad in English and Religion. Bill also holds a M.Div. from Southeastern Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in American Literature from the University of South Carolina. Bill has spent 50 years in church ministry and 25 years teaching BULLI classes. He loves Gainesville, gardening, movies, traveling, teaching, and reading. Bill’s favorite quote is: "We will all err in life, either on the side of law or the side of grace; since we'll err anyway, always go with grace."
