About this event
Six IN-PERSON sessions September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22 You probably believe, like most people, that being correct is extremely important when providing information, making calculations, or devising plans. Yet, there are times when significant improvements in science, art, music, and literature depend on us making errors. Error often results in unanticipated advancements, meaningful evolution, and novel insights. Our course will be an interactive discussion where we will examine the importance of error and mistakes to stimulate progress in our world. Veteran BULLI instructor Robert Powers has a Ph.D. in biochemistry and biostatistics from the Medical University of South Carolina and Masters of Divinity (Honors) from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He has served on the faculties of Harvard Medical School, the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Yale College of Medicine, and Gwinnett Technical College. He recently retired as director of research for the College of Health Sciences and Professions at the University of North Georgia and Chaplain at Riverside Military Academy.
