Description

Train enthusiasts will enjoy this railroad-themed visit with Santa! Get in the holiday spirit while listening to Christmas carols as you enjoy hot chocolate and cookies around the firepit. There will be holiday themed crafts for kids. Santa will be chatting with and greeting everyone from inside the cab of a 1918 steam locomotive. There will also be a quiet train car available if your little ones need a break from all the festivities.

Please bring your own camera for pictures. This is an indoor/outdoor event.
Because Santa is inside the locomotive, children will not be able to sit on his lap, but guests are able to stand on a platform to talk to Santa through the window of the locomotive and take pictures with Santa. Santa is fluent in English and Spanish.

EVENT INSTRUCTIONS:Please arrive no later than your reserved entry time. Check-in at the registration table. An escort will guide your party through your visit. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Bring your own camera. Please stay home if sick or experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness.
Photo location requires stepping up onto a platform. If this presents an issue please call the Museum at 301-258-6160 about accommodations before making an on-line reservation. Pre-registration required and space is limited.
