This class will be an introduction to hand-building with clay! We will make both functional and sculptural pieces, ranging from cups, platters, and vessels to more decorative work like wall pockets, garden gnomes, and funky planters…the possibilities are endless! We will explore, coiling, slab building, drape molds, and more. We will also focus time on learning different surfacing and glazing techniques to create unique textures and designs. The small class size allows for a fun, relaxed, and collaborative learning environment. Cost: $275 Session I: 7 classes, Mondays, 9/8-10/20, 5:30pm-8:30pm Additional, optional work time will be offered for students on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays between 10 am and 1 pm. This extra studio time is first come, first serve for available wheel use and table space. There will be no open studio time on federal holidays, but classes may run depending on the schedule.
