This camp will allow you to grow your own food, understand the "food value" of different vegetables and where these plants came from. This summer you will have a chance to: Build your own Da Vinci Bridge to get to know your camp team mates. Learn how to make a Solar Oven and talk about the energy the sun gives us daily and how to use it just like the plants do. Prepare a treat on with your new oven and have some iced cold sun tea Plant your own garden and find out where the food that we eat every day comes from. You will learn how foods that we think of as American have their origin in some surprising , far away places. Each day we will have a vegetable hero and talk about its story and how it helps you stay healthy Find out what birds eat and what the cycle of life is in the hen house and the duck enclosure ( hint: this involves our resident mice, grain and eggs )
