Learn the fundamentals of oil painting as Kathleen beaks down the process of representational painting using an alla prima method. Alla Prima is a direct method of painting whereby wet paint is applied to underlying layers that are still wet. Gain an understanding of materials, brushes, how to set up a palette, how to apply paint and the difference between painting mediums. Students will increase their painting ability, as Kathleen aids at the easel with value, drawing, composition, and color. Class is for both beginning and intermediate artists.
