Description
We are excited to partner with "Film Camp In A Box" for these amazing camp programs that will focus on the skill of movie making. All programs will be delivered in person in collaboration with Gryphon Summer Camps. Each camp will be facilitated by our Gryphon Camp Counsellors and a "Master Filmmaker" from Film Camp In A Box. Campers will have the opportunity to use professional materials to create their own original productions. Weekly Film Camp Programs are as follows:- Stop Motion Animation (8-11 yrs)
- Hollywood Filmmaking (10-13 yrs)
- Toonflix - Digital Comics & Movie Trailers (10-13 yrs)
The camp week will start on Monday with a community building day and preparation for the film production components of the program. This will enable the campers to really get to know each other and start planning their ideas. From Tuesday to Friday, campers will have the full day to work on their film projects. On Friday, in the late afternoon, there will be a film premiere where camper's families can have the opportunity to come and watch the films. There will be a link so you can watch them at home too.
Please note that there is no recreational swimming as part of this camp program.
Outcomes from these programs are: Learn and practice the digital story telling process | Engage with digital equipment for meaningful outcomes | STEAM engagement using math, arts, technology and engineering | Oral/Visual communication skill development | Collaboration and social engagement | Digital media literacy skill development | Critical and abstract thinking | Understanding of communication using distance learning

Note: Post Camp Extended Day will be offered between 4:30pm-5:30pm for an additional fee. Registrations for extended day programming will take place in June.
• Completion of Camper Extended Health Forms will be required during the month of June (all forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp season)• If you wish to request to be paired with another camper, this will be asked of you in the Camper Extended Health Form.• ALL Camp withdrawals will incur a $30 withdrawal fee and must be requested no later than 10 days prior to the start date of that particular week of camp.• Individuals have the option to withdraw themselves online if done so by June 1st, 2025 (withdrawal fee will still apply).• If you are withdrawing after June 1st, 2025 you will be required to contact the Camps Office to process and the withdrawal fee will apply• No withdrawals available if not requested 10 days prior to the camp start day.• For this camp program, there will be no daily recreational swims.
