The USCCA CT Pistol Permit / Long Gun Certificate Class is the course need to be able to apply for your local and state permit to carry pistols and revolvers or to apply for your long gun certificate. The curriculum covers laws pertaining to carrying a handgun, firearms safety, safe storage, how handguns work, and the fundamentals of shooting, including use during self defense. I host small groups, five or less students, providing each student with lots of personal attention. Each student will fire approximately 50 to 60 rounds of ammunition during the one on one live fire session. We do extensive dry fire practice before the live fire. The course material is from the USCCA Home Defense/Concelaed Carry Book which is almost 300 pages of useful information pertaining to firearms and their use during a self defense situation.
