From dramatic skies and rolling hills to peaceful lakes and distant mountains, we’ll study the elements that bring outdoor scenes to life. Students will practice layering, blending, and using perspective to create depth and atmosphere. Each week focuses on a different aspect of landscape painting, including skies and clouds, water and reflections, foliage and texture, and composing your own scenic painting from reference or imagination.
