Over four weeks, students will explore foundational oil painting techniques while learning how to create expressive, atmospheric landscapes. Each session will focus on a different element of the landscape—starting with the sky and gradually working toward the foreground. Students will practice smooth blending techniques for clouds and sunsets, and discover how to mix rich, naturalistic colors for trees, grasses, and flowers. We'll also cover how to use light and shadow to bring depth and realism to a scene. Through step-by-step guidance and individual support, participants will leave the class with a strong start in oil painting and a finished landscape to be proud of.
