About this event

Instructor: Val Adams Unlock the hidden potential of metal in this hands-on soldering and welding course, where sparks fly and imagination takes shape! This immersive experience blends craftsmanship with creativity, inviting you to transform found metal objects into stunning works of art. Whether you’re drawn to the nostalgia of weathered steel or the endless possibilities of repurposed materials, you’ll learn essential techniques to cut, fuse, and shape metal into expressive sculptures, jewelry, or functional art pieces. Guided by expert instruction, you’ll master the art of precision and heat, gaining confidence with torches, welders, and soldering irons. As you work with reclaimed materials, each piece tells a story—blending past and present into something entirely new. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this course is about more than just metalwork—it’s about creativity, connection, and the thrill of bringing raw materials to life. Come ready to ignite your artistic vision, embrace the beauty of imperfection, and leave with a masterpiece forged by your own hands! The workshop is appropriate for adults, teens, and older children under supervision. The $150 fee covers all supply costs. **Please be aware that this class will be held at Val’s studio located at 2853 Rural Hill Road in Nashville. The two-day workshop is 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Space is very limited.
