Start your puppy off on the right paw! Our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class is a fun and engaging 6-week program designed to give puppies and their owners the best possible start together. This class focuses on the essentials every young dog needs: socialization, training, activity and responsible ownership. You will be taught how to begin teaching the basic behaviors and you will be able to get information on all of your puppy questions. We will address name recognition, loose leash walking, handling/grooming exercises, fun recalls, an introduction to simple behaviors such as "sit", "come" and "stay" and practice socialization with people and other dogs. At the conclusion of the program, your instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test. Puppies who pass will receive an application to send to AKC for their official certificate. This class is for puppies 4 months-1 year old and who are current with Rabies and DA2PP vaccinations, based on your veterinarian's recommendations.
