2025 Opening Doors Teen Mentor Program Opening Doors is an 8-week day-camp style program for youth ages 14-17. Registration is required for this fun-filled program. Program activities include fun fitness, arts and crafts, games, college preparatory and career exploration opportunities and nature exploration. Program will be offered Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Parents are required to acknowledge guidelines by signing the Parent Orientation document at the registered Community Center. Transportation to and from community center is the parent’s responsibility. Staff to youth participant ratio is 1 to 25. The cost is $30.00 per child per week. Online registration will be available and can be accessed at www.houstonparks.org. Payments can be made at the HPARD Permits Office, 2999 S. Wayside Drive, Houston TX 77023. Fee exemptions are available to parents or guardians who qualify. Appropriate documentation is required. HPARD's Summer Enrichment Program operates under "Texas Standards of Care" as defined by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
