Learn all about the oldest printmaking technique in this extensive, 7 week block printing class! You will learn the basics of relief printing and also have the studio time to create at least a couple editions of your very own handmade prints.

Topics Covered

In this class, you will learn how to carve linoleum blocks, print them with an etching press, and register multiple blocks so that you end up with an edition of colorful prints. Additionally, we will look at art historical examples, examine contemporary block prints and engage in class discussions. Instruction will include lectures, demonstrations, and individual guidance from the instructor.
